T409 vs t304 stainless steel
Web4 years ago T409 vs T304 ss exhaust I heard t409 is cheaper ss compared to t304. Car is daily driven in Ontario Canada with some pretty bad winters. Was thinking of getting mxp comp rs but noticed is uses t409 ss. Was wondering if this makes a big difference and if I should just save and get a t304 exhaust vs t409. The molybdenum is added to help resist corrosion to chlorides (like sea water). T304, with its chromium-nickel content and low carbon, is the most versatile and commonly used of the austenitic stainless steels.
